FIFA 17 vs Pro Evolution Soccer 2017

By Administrator, 09/28/2016

There is always a fierce rival between FIFA 17 and PES 2017. Both two games have changes this year, and PES 2017 has been released eariler, we have to wait the release of FIFA 17 and see which game is really better. In this page, let's see the comparison of FIFA 17 and PES 2017.

Game Engines

EA Sports has replaced with the Frostbite Engine which makes significant improvements in graphics. That's the same graphics engine that powers games like Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1 and Star Wars: Battlefront. That means more realistic animation and enhanced facial.

PES adopts the FOX Engine from a few years ago with a superiority over its flashier competitor for a period. Everything from the movement of the ball to the physicality of players feels great, with the result that the game you play on the screen often looks a lot like a game of actual professional football.

Of course, it's usually FIFA that comes off best in the licenses stake, but this year PES 2017 has upped its game. The two teams Konami is currently permitted to license from the Premier League this year are Arsenal and Atlético Madrid. There are four from the Bundesliga too, but they're not playable yet.

Gameplay Features

This time, EA made improvements in gameplay, like new set pieces, which seems to frustrate hardcore players because they're new, but an effective new way to turn your shoulder and maintain possession in the presence of a close defender as well as feasible shooting for long distances. The new engine should have fixed longstanding issues of FIFA series. The move of players is more flexible and they have the turning circle of cement trucks, while too many parts of the game, especially in attack, but it is still not good enough. Defending design seems worse. There's an obvious game design issue that EA Sports wanted to do away with the idea that a football player can simply win back the ball whenever they want by hitting a button, and instead of making you watch an opponent stroke the ball around.

It's noticeable that the game's player animations of PES 2017 are less stiff, which had long been a problem for the series, but crosses and holding the ball up feel harder to control. PES 2017 also got something exciting that you string things together, which means you can see a winger whip in a low cross that a striker takes, shoulder a defender he's holding off then slides it into the bottom corner doesn't look or feel like a video game moving from one programmed set of circumstances to the next. Everthing is just acting smoothly like a real game and you feel like controling the actual team. There is also an mprovement to the goalkeepers. PES 2017 also has a new gameplay feature called Adaptive AI, which means the opposing team in PES 2017 will be watching the moves you make and adapting their defences accordingly.

Career Modes

EA added a new story mode The Journey to FIFA 17, which puts you in the shoes of a pre-designed character, who has his own backstory and physical appearance. Beginning as a young boy, you control a guy named Alex Hunter as he makes his way through the ups and downs of the professional game in England, experiencing everything from a loan spell with a lower-division team to cup finals and Premier League titles.

While for PES, there are the usual Player and Manager Career modes, not much to change. But the transfer system has been modified a bit though, as it now has separate budgets for transfers and wages making the financial headache easier to manage. Besides, players can be signed on six-month loans where you can try and test them in your squad before signing them up long term.

What makes FIFA 17 special is the new career mode, of course, PES 2017 also gains preference from game players. We will know which one is better till FIFA 17 is released. Which one do you prefer? FIFA or PES?
